The architectonic and acoustic installation Three Sounds at 317 E 5th St by Katia Ritz, Florian Hauswirth and Daniel Neumann focuses on the perception and cognition of the specific space and its existing sounds.
Three expansive cones visually amplify the three most present sounds at the Red House Gallery in the East Village, while also creating an acoustical focus.
The installation adapts to the existing structure of the room, which creates a unique intervention in the environment.
Daniel Neumann is presenting recordings of the three sounds which he will use exclusively for his live performance Three variations on three sounds at 317 E 5th St at 8pm.
